I dont actually know what people have commented about me but would like to know if they like what i have written I know someone i have never met read one of my blogs on betrayal and commented by saying she understood what i was saying and she thought the same way as me about it but wanting to know more about the comments made would be good as i would then know if i should have changed anything within my blogs

Gambling

I have never done this myself personally but i know that some people can become addicted to it like some people can become addicted to alcohol.

There are many forms of gambling for instants the lottery is a form of gambling but this helps people as the money raised goes into the community to help projects, where as gambling in a casino or bookies is just wrong as you are losing money that you may never get back.

In Las Vegas all they do is gamble this is what the city is there for and its purpose of this city.

Lieing

What is lieing does anyone really know and does it actually hurt a person when you lie to them to protect them. I do not think if you lie to a person to protect them that lieing can hurt as if you know a friends partner is cheating your not going to admit to knowing when they find out are you.

Look at the film liar liar with jim carey in he protects gulity people and gets them off for crimes they have commited but said they havent commited in court in the end his lies lose him his family and his son has to wish for his dad to tell the truth so he will and he tells his family how he really thinks about them.

Masturbation

Alot of people mastubate and some people see it as wrong where as some people think it is right to do so as they are not getting sexual attention. My view is masturbation is each to the persons own they do as they please no one can stop a person from doing what they want to do. As long as a person is not masturbating in public or infront of another person who does not agree with it then they should not do so and respect peoples wishes.

I started this course unsure of what Being Bad would end up to be I knew there was 3 assignments to do

• Creative Story
• Essay

I did a creative story on Smoking and then my essay was on Betrayal and what people thought it was. I enjoyed doing the weblog and i enjoyed writing the essay as it was interesting to find out what was many thought betrayal was

If so, how? And if not, why not? The subjects we studied were not related to any of my other classes

Have you found ‘Being Bad’ too demanding, too easy, or at an appropriate level? I found it really easy and enjoyable.

Do you think the list of topics covered on the module was appropriate? Not all of them were i did not like the religion one of the bad cinema topic

Are there any topics not included in the module that you would like to see included? I dont think so i liked most of the topics that have been doen apart from the ones stated above

Do you think that the format for classes has worked well? Yes it was a very relaxed format of teaching

What did you think of the module team? The module team was good and made classes interesting.

Small group discussions? Not really as i do not always think this is better

During the class we watched 3 clips to do with doing things that are wrong. The first clip was family guy 'Breaking out is hard to do' 2005 fox

Is shoplifting any different to any other kind of theft?
No as you are still taking things that do not belong to you, you may not be hurting one individual by stealing from a shop but it is still stealing.

Why do people who can afford to buy things shoplift them instead ?
It is because of the adrenaline rush and the fact they could be caught at any time. When they get away with the crime it is more exciting

Bad cinema 2

Kids (1995)

Larry Clark must have been a sick man to be doing this film he may think it was art but the film is far from it. I was asked to answer some questions but I decided not to and decided to write my opinions instead.

I recommend to anyone not to watch this film as if you have morals and ethical reasoning or if you are easily lead by stupid things best not to watch this film as you could end up going out there contracting HIV and passing it around to unknowing young ladies.

Bad cinema

Kids (1995)

This film was not just bad cinema it was disgusting I found it disgraceful how a pimply little teenage boy is going round and sleeping with all these young girls, where were the parents when their child was out all night getting high and drunk and sleeping around.

The Plot Outline was an amoral, HIV-positive skateboarder sets out to deflower as many virgins as possible while a local girl who contracted his disease tries to save his next target from her same fate.
The girl trying to save his next victim was to busy getting high and drinking to be saving anyone. The director and writer of this film must think this is how teenagers act now a days or even in 1998 I can tell you I would never act this way and know no one who would act this way either it was just ethically wrong.

As for the rape scene in this film it made me think about how much you don’t actually know what your doing when you have been drinking or smoking and taking drugs. There were even young children in this film taking drugs what moral does that show.

Body modification 2

Tattoos were started in Maori tribes they had lines and patterns put onto their face each line meant a part of there life, people who copy these designs now are taking away the signicantes from the Maori tribes.

There are many ways of body modification there is non invasive practice which means that you are only changing the colour of your hair or adding make or or body paints where as invasive is adding something that can not be removed from your body and it is permantly there.

Religion

I was not there for the religion class but I am not a religious person I do not think that if you are a religious person you should try to convert people as it is there choice whether you are religious or not I was christened when I was about 1 but that is because my mom wanted that as now a days you cant marry with out being christened.


When people come knocking on doors to preach their religion I sometimes do not answer and I am being honest there as they do not seem to take no for an answer.

Body Modification

So many people change there body each day by tattooing or piercing some area of their body.

I have 8 tattoos and my belly button pierced as this was my choice to these things i do not disagree with a person having piercing or tattoos as it is there own choice. I think that people can sometimes go alittle over board by having there whole body covered in either tattoos or piercings. i am thinking of having a new tattoo but not to sure yet.

What is Infidelity?

Does anyone really know what is classed as cheating on a person other than having physical contact with another person, is there anymore ways a person can be committing adultary.

Infidelity is not always wrong but it is not always right either I am confused myself about whether it is right or wrong as many people have different views on it, listening to peoples views has confused me alot I am unsure now if infidelity is actually wrong anymore.

It is not prostitution I think it should be explained why the money is being taken and if you are not planning to give sex you should state so

Yes it is less socially respectable as you are basically degrading yourself and not giving yourself self respect.

When looking at Ellies posts so far i find them very informative and i really like the pictures which explain more and make the blogs look alot better. Smoking

When starting the lecture I thought it was going to go on about how you should not be smoking and how you should find ways to stop smoking and how it is bad for you. But the aims of the lecture were:

• What makes smoking so attractive as a pursuit?



• Not to fret about health concerns related to smoking

We also looked at how films show smoking and what can influence people into smoking. Wheather men or women smoke differently and if so why do do they smoke differently

First lecture

When first going into the lecture I was unsure what was about to happen. When the lecture started and Mark started talking I began to relax and hope I understood everything that we were being told. When the lecture went into the part about some of the things that people had done wrong or things people had done that were bad, it was encouraging to know i wasnt the only person that had done some bad things. The lecture was relaxed and informal which is better than a formal lecture as it is easy to join in. When joining in with the class it was easy to talk to the lecturers. When finding out about assignments I did not completely understand about the other 2 assignments but understood this one with a bit of help from the online tutorial on weblogs.
